About Multiplayer Central

Picking a game for a group is harder than it should be. Store pages bury the important part: can we play this together, and how? Multiplayer Central puts that answer first.

Where the data comes from

Every game, its multiplayer modes, price and review score come from the Steam store. We check Steam every day, so new games, prices and sales show up quickly. If a game's Steam page doesn't list a mode, we don't list it either.

Player counts come from what each game's Steam store page says ("1-4 player co-op") and, where Steam doesn't say, from IGDB. Games without a known player count are left out when you filter by number of players.

How games are ranked

Rankings use Steam user reviews, weighted by how many people reviewed the game. A game with 95% positive from 20,000 players ranks above one with 100% from ten players.

Who makes this

Multiplayer Central is made by Black Ribbon Studios, an independent game studio. We're not affiliated with Valve or Steam.

Links

Some links to stores may become affiliate links in the future. That never changes rankings, which come only from Steam reviews.
